Rove Numby is a small-group, fully hosted walking experience set on a private property in Central West NSW.

It’s designed for people who enjoy good food, great company, and time outdoors. Expect guided walks through rugged country, long-table meals, swims in the creek, and evenings by the fire.

No rush. No noise. Just a properly good weekend away.

Everything is taken care of—so you can simply arrive and enjoy the experience.

  • 2 nights accommodation in twin-share glamping tents (proper beds, quality linen)

  • All meals from arrival through to departure

  • Guided walks across private farmland

  • Firewood and campfire experiences each evening

  • Access to basecamp facilities, including bathrooms and communal spaces

All you need to bring is your gear, a sense of adventure, and a few days to switch off.

Sample Itinerary

 

We take care of all the planning—just pack your gear, bring a sense of adventure, and hit the road.

Please note, itineraries and menus may vary with seasonal conditions, weather, and your group’s preferences or dietary requirements.

FRIDAY DAY 1- Travel and a short rove from basecamp to unwind

  • Travel to Numby Station in the morning

  • 1:00pm Arrive at Numby meeting point. Park vehicles and transfer your luggage in support vehicles. Welcome, introductions and briefing.

  • 1:30pm Get driven to Rosewood Cottage Basecamp and settle into tents breifly

  • 2pm Set off for Engagement Valley walk including afternoon tea on the trail (approximately 2 hours of walking in total).​

  • 4:30pm Arrive back at Rosewood Cottage basecamp where you'll be welcomed with a refreshingly cold, lightly sparkling glass of our signature house made Lemon Verbena & Rosemary Cordial. Settle in, shower and change. Explore the creek and the old shearing shed if you wish.

  • 5pm Happy Hour on the cottage verandah

  • 6:30pm A 3 course dinner hosted in the dining room.​

  • Relax until late by the firepit under the stars, enjoy a port by the open fire in the cottage, cosy up in the library or retire to your tent ahead of your big day of hiking tomorrow.

  • Afternoon tea: House baked Zucchini & Walnut loaf + individual trail mix

  • Afternoon Welcome drink: lightly sparkling glass of our signature house made Lemon Verbena & Rosemary Cordial. 
  • Happy Hour: Alfresco drinks and share platters of mixed cheeses, homemade dips, pastes, charcuterie, breads and crackers.

  •  Dinner 

    • Warm house made focaccia with herbed oils & vinegar

    • Heulen Pastoral Wagyu Ossobuco, prepared in the classically fragrant french style and served with locally grown seasonal greens.

    • A deceptively light flourless chocolate cake with spiced plums and vanilla bean ice-cream.

    •  All enjoyed with your choice from our selection of wines, beers and non alcoholic beverages.

​​​BOOKING ONTO A ROVE NUMBY ADVENTURE​

Rove Numby welcomes single travelers, couples, small groups and private groups (see next paragraph). We have 10 places available and require a minimum of 6 guests for the weekend to go ahead (if we do not reach the required minimum of 6 guests, your booking deposit will be either held, and your stay postponed to a later date that suits you, or refunded if you prefer).

Rove Numby offers a 'singles surplus' of $500 if you would prefer a single occupancy tent.

WHATS NOT INCLUDED:

Transport to and from the meeting point, travel insurance, singles surplus, personal hiking gear or any additional extras

TALORING YOUR EXPERIENCE FOR PRIVATE GROUPS OF 6-10* GUESTS

When booking as a group, we can tailor your weekend to suit your groups interests, fitness level and schedule. For example;

  • Make the most of your stay by adding an extra experience. Visit our Extras page to personalise your Rove with options like Pilates, a massage or a muster-dog display.

  • Shorter walks 

  • A special celebration dinner party

  • More time to sleep in or relax

AVAILABILITY

We run these tours over most weekends in Spring and Autumn. Check available dates HERE or contact us if you are intersted in a mid-week Rove.

​HOW TO BOOK

You can book in online HERE.

You will be asked to pay a $500 deposit up front to secure your booking and the remainder one month prior to your departure. You can pay by credit card or direct deposit. We recommend that everyone in your group book in individually so that we can handle the logistics for you! It would help if you let us know one point of contact for the group and the number of bookings to expect for your group.

Should you need to cancel your Rove:​

  • More than 30 days before departure – Deposit is forfeited OR transferred to another date within 18 months of your original booking, OR transferred to another person

  • Less than 30 days before departure – 100% of the tour price is forfeited OR transferred to another person

We recommend purchasing travel insurance .
